Raymond James adds Cleveland banker to Ohio public finance team

Raymond James has added Tim Reidy to its public finance team, extending its reach in Ohio to include a new Cleveland office.

Reidy joined the Florida-based firm in September as a managing director where he will work on an array of issuance covering schools, utility districts, the state, and local governments.

“Tim is a talented and highly regarded banker with deep expertise in public finance,” Gavin Murrey, the firm’s head of public finance/debt investment banking, said in a statement.

Reidy spent the last six years at Fifth Third Securities where he was a managing director. Before Fifth Third, he worked in banking as a director at Huntington Securities. He worked as a public finance banker at the former NatCity Investments, now PNC, and was an investment consultant at the former Salomon Smith Barney.

Reidy has completed over 1,000 senior or sole managed transactions in his career, according to statement from the firm.

“Raymond James’ valued reputation, powerful distribution platform and considerable underwriting capacity will be a win-win for issuer clients throughout the state,” Reidy said.

The firm already has a public finance office in Columbus. Reidy joins a team of 180 public finance professionals, including 125 bankers at the vice president or higher level and 25 analysts and other associates in more than 30 offices across the country.

The firm said it remains on the lookout for “talented bankers who align with our culture and strategic growth plan.”

For the first half of the year, Raymond James ranked 10th nationally among senior managers on competitive transactions and fourth among senior managers of small issues, according to data from Refinitiv.
