Loop Capital has beefed up its muni team with the addition of nine members, as the firm remains committed to growth in major coverage areas — public finance, municipal underwriting and sales.
The new hires in four major offices bring expertise and regional coverage to better serve the firm’s clients, and Loops plans to expand further to build on its existing strengths.
“Our latest additions reflect the firm’s confidence in the municipal bond market and dedication to delivering exceptional service to our clients and customers,” said Jim Reynolds, Loop chairman and CEO. “Given record issuance volume over the past two years, we remain bullish on the industry’s trajectory.”
Issuance for 2025 has topped $500 billion, just shy of 2024’s record $507.585 billion.
Loop ranks 15th year-to-date among top underwriters, accounting for $10.132 billion across 841 transactions, the most of any firm in the top 25. This has already surpassed the $7.253 billion Loop underwrote in 2024, according to LSEG.
The firm has participated in more than $1 trillion in transactions nationwide overall, according to a press release.
“We are focused on providing value-added ideas, superior distribution, and exceptional execution for our clients,” said Bo Daniels, the firm’s head of public finance. “These hires strengthen our capabilities in regions and sectors poised for even more growth. We continue to add experienced, talented professionals who share the firm’s ‘client first’ business culture.”
In New York, former Wells Fargo employee Marc-Adrien Mandich joins as a vice president with a focus on providing technical modeling and execution.
Sagar Kharche, a senior vice president, joins Loop’s housing group from cfX to deliver unique financing solutions to HFAs nationwide.
Following 30-plus years at Citi, Senior Vice President Charlie Reed will join the firm’s competitive underwriting practice, while Brandon Goldberg, a former Ipreo employee, joins the underwriting desk as an associate to support both the negotiated and competitive businesses.
In Chicago, former Baker Tilly and Citi employee Drew Davidhizar, now a senior vice president at Loop, will lead the energy and public power initiatives.
Matt Webb, vice president, hails from Goldman Sachs and will bring his expertise in financing stadiums and sports facilities.
Steve Montgomery, senior vice president, moves from Piper Sandler to Loop as a sales professional.
In Dallas, Vice President Alex Palazzolo, formerly of Stifel and Wells Fargo, will cover mid-market clients and school districts throughout Texas, while Taylor Greene, senior vice president, joins the sales team in Boston, bringing 37 years of industry experience, most recently at Mesirow.
“These new bankers bring outstanding ideas, creativity, and technical skills,” Daniels said. “In addition to energy and coverage in areas and sectors that are important.”
